Swedish asset management boutique Cliens Kapitalförvaltning has appointed Erik Andersson as CEO.
The AAA rated portfolio manager will officially assume his duties at the end of October.
He comes from Swedbank Robur, where he was Chief Investment Officer since 2018 and a member of the company’s management team. He was also in charge of managing global equities, with sustainability and corporate governance high on his agenda.
According to the Citywire database, it was listed on the Swedbank Robur Global High Dividend A fund.
The fund has generated a 54% return in US dollars over the last three years to the end of June 2021. An average manager of Citywire’s Equity – Global Equity Income returned 27.8% over the same period.
Cliens outgoing CEO Lena Wallenius will take on new responsibilities as Chairman of the Board.
Tomas Henriks, chief marketing officer at Cliens, said Wallenius has grown the company to have more than SEK 30 billion (€ 2.9 billion) in assets under management and more than 100 institutional clients.
Cliens currently oversees the following strategies: Cliens Sverige, Cliens Sverige Fokus, Cliens Småbolag, Cliens Micro Cap, Cliens Mixfond, Cliens Företagsobligationer and Cliens Räntefond Kort.
