Eric Jensen

Ah, nice to be with you, thanks for the time today, Jim.

Jim gordon

It’s great to have you. Gold Line has a substantial portfolio of projects that it is advancing in Sweden. How are things going there?

Eric Jensen

Yes, things are going very well in Sweden. Just to set the context on this, you might recall that in 2016, 2017, 2018, there was a depression in the price of gold. Gold was hovering around $ 1,250. There was very little interest in gold exploration projects. But, in the middle of Sweden, there is this belt of green rocks [that is] under-explored, known as the Gold Line, which featured a host of historical gold showings, some of which had [been] drilled to find areas of mineralization.

There were two important deposits. One is called Barsele and the other Fäboliden. But in 2017, 2018, all the mining concessions adjacent to these deposits opened up and so we jumped on them. We continued, Abisko, we started a rush on the staking where we acquired all the other concessions in this belt. Thus, we have built a substantial portfolio, made up of a whole series of historical gold indices. [We] drill[ed] the fine zones of mineralization that required more work and we are advancing them steadily.

And, of course, now that we are seeing an acceleration in the price of gold, 2019, 2020 in the current bull market that we are seeing, now we are doing significant work on these projects to expand these areas of historical known mineralization. , find new targets and bring those elements to the drilling stage, where we are now.

So things have gone very well. We just finished our winter program. It was very, very successful. We have widened some known targets, added new targets. We are preparing for the drill test programs, which will likely arrive later this year. Hopefully, early fall 2021.

Jim gordon

Eric, the company recently announced an agreement with Agnico Eagle. Tell us about these new assets and how they impact the value proposition for Gold Line investors.

Eric Jensen

Yes, we are really excited about these assets as they are more advanced exploration assets that we have now added to the Gold Mines portfolio. And so Agnico, which is one of the big players in the region – they operate the Kittila mine in Finland.

They also operated until recently in JV on the Barsele project, which we mentioned earlier in Sweden. But they had four exploration assets in Fennoscandia in the Nordic region, Kittila in Barsele. But then they had two advanced exploration assets, but with all their focus really on Kittila and the Barsele project.

They had not advanced these two exploration assets for about a decade. But 10 years ago, they worked a lot on these two assets. They had great exercise success. There is a resource that has been defined on one of them, [which] was a quarter of a million ounces, roughly four to five grams, a nice resource that was open to expansion at depth and along direction and also had very good continuity.

And so, for a company like Gold Line that acquires an asset like this with a historical resource, which it can update, add to its books, but also the exploration potential that you have in this belt of rocks. green are great opportunities. for a company like Gold Line.

So now we have two more advanced assets, drilling the fine zones of mineralization, one with a historic resource, a very solid movement.

Jim gordon

What are the main value drivers and milestones for the business?

Eric Jensen

Yes, we just talked about one of them. So the historical resource called Kylmäkangas, Oijärvi, the asset we just bought or acquired from Agnico Eagle, which needs work to bring [it] in current compliance. So, we can assert this as a current resource. And so, we have a technical team working on this right now. It will be an important development.

But also, the continued advancement of the Swedish portfolio, taking things to the drilling stage, running the diamond drills later this year to test these expansions and these new target concepts that we have. It will be a very good year for the company. We have a lot to do. There is no shortage of hard work that we will be doing in the coming months, but it is really well positioned. We will have good milestones this year.

Jim gordon

What are the biggest challenges facing Gold Line leadership and how will you and your team handle them?

Eric Jensen

Yeah, you know, exploring is tough. It’s a tough business, but it’s how you deal with these challenges that sets successful businesses apart. So one of the things we see, we’re a newer company and we’re trying to put together the right technical team.

And put in place the right pieces of this puzzle. We have added two very good people to our advisory board, Lewis Teal and Benny Mattsson. They are long time explorers, they have been very successful in the gold industry and they bring a lot of experience and credibility to the team.

We combine that with a group of young, enthusiastic young geologists. And the combination of seasoned veterans and younger, enthusiastic geologists is a great mix. We have good chemistry there.

So one of the main challenges we face in this business is finding the right people, building the right team. And I’m really happy with the way our team has evolved, but we’ll always be looking to add top-notch players. You can never add too many of these types of talented individuals to your teams. So, we’ll keep looking for that.

The other key challenge, of course, is the ongoing pandemic, which I think we’ve navigated very well. We have run a full suite of winter programs without having any transmission issues or any of our field crews affected by COVID. And that’s a tremendous accomplishment. We had many security protocols and programs in place to achieve this.

And I’m really proud of the way we’ve sailed so far. We can now see the light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccine distributions. But I think our team really handled this competently, given all the challenges exploration companies have faced over the past year.

Finally, what are the company’s plans for the rest of 2021?

Eric Jensen

Yes, so in terms of our plans for the rest of 2021, we’re going to have a very aggressive expiration campaign to bring our various targets to the exercise stage. And we plan to start our diamond drilling programs this year in 2021. And also, what I mentioned earlier about the update of the Oijärvi, the Kylmäkangas resource, bring that in line, bring it up. in the books of Gold Line Resources.

Jim gordon

Eric, thank you for joining us.

Eric Jensen

Yes, thank you, Jim. Thanks for the time, well done.
