Euroclear Sweden has launched Vantage by Euroclear, a service that provides listed companies with detailed information about their shareholding.
Key features of Vantage by Euroclear include a view of the ownership structure, with built-in information from Morningstar on foreign owners, and tracking changes in the ownership structure.
Additional key features include integrated Millistream information with live streaming of stock price information and data, as well as regulatory notifications including major shareholder notifications and short sale alerts.
Euroclear Sweden’s existing service, Analyze, has been providing companies with transparency and analysis of their shareholders for many years. However, as the demands on investor relations services increase, faster and more in-depth data analysis is needed.
Euroclear Sweden has therefore, in collaboration with its clients, developed Vantage, the next generation of its shareholder analysis tool.
According to Euroclear, knowing who owns shares in companies is becoming increasingly important for investor relations departments in order to be able to conduct active investor relations work.
In addition, there are risks in not having a clear vision of who owns shares in your company, who takes positions and what profile the shareholders have.
Annelie Lindahl, Deputy Managing Director of Euroclear Sweden and Head of Vantage by Euroclear, explains: “To help investor relations departments understand the nature, composition and evolution of their shareholders, they need a both comprehensive and structured vision of the company’s shareholders.
“With Vantage by Euroclear, we will improve the user experience by aggregating a single set of data into an updated, user-friendly interface, which gives companies a better overview of their shareholders.”
Roger Storm, CEO of Euroclear Sweden, comments: “We manage information about holdings on Swedish stock markets and therefore have unique and immediate insight into ownership movements and structures.
“We can use our data and our analysis to show who the underlying owner is, even with foreign ownership. This gives investor relations departments valuable insight into who owns the company’s shares, ”adds Storm.
